WHY 40 DAYS?One of the most powerful transformation tools we have in Kundalini Yoga is the continuous practice of the same kriya or meditation for forty days in a row, commonly known as a “40 day Sadhana”. Generally this practice is associated with the Sadhana that we do first thing in the morning, although it is not mandatory to do it in this way. When we do the same kriya or meditation for forty days in a row we have the opportunity to deepen our practice and gaining the many benefits associated with the kriya or meditation. Nevertheless, the real essence of this practice is what we learn about commitment in life.

The Ten Bodies, as many other tools in yoga and spirituality, is just a system that classifies human psyche in different aspects in order to simplify it with the idea to have a deeper understanding of it. The Ten Bodies is a very powerful tool in Kundalini Yoga not only because it will allow you to better understand the human psyche but because it is the corner stone of Tantric Numerology.
Doing a 40 day practice of the “Kriya for the Ten Bodies” is a great challenge because you will be connecting through the practice with every aspect of who you are and will allow you to explore which of these aspects are balanced, which are not and what are you going to do about it. We recommend you download the PDF of the Ten Bodies so you understand the philosophy behind this 40 day practice.
– Choose a schedule: it is usual that these 40 day practice are media during Sadhana (morning practice) but the most important thing is that you do it every day at the same time. So, revise your usual schedule and find the moment you believe will be the most convenient of the day. REMEMBER: no moment is perfect, challenges will appear.
– Journal: use a daily journal of your experiences. You don’t have to write anything specific and it does not have to belong. Just write how you feel after every practice or any thought and feelings you consider important.
